Job summary

OpenAI seeks a Manager, Applied AI Architect to lead a team of Applied AI Architects. You will blend technical leadership with customer engagement to drive business impact from discovery to adoption.

This role supports hybrid work (3 days in the office) and offers relocation assistance, with office locations in San Francisco or New York. You will guide a multifaceted team, ensure clear technical account plans, and coordinate with Sales, Deployment, Product, Engineering, and Research to deliver

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in technical customer-facing roles with global organizations.
• 3+ years of experience leading technical pre-sales teams, hiring and mentoring.
• Experience leading complex sales involving Generative AI or ML with cloud architectures.

Responsibilities

• Develop and communicate a strategic vision for the Applied AI Architect team.
• Guide and support a team through the customer lifecycle from pre-sales to deployment and adoption.
• Act as escalation point for key customers within the sales segment and coordinate with executive stakeholders.
