OpenAI in San Francisco or New York is seeking a Manager, Applied AI Architect to lead a team of Applied AI Architects, blending technical leadership with customer engagement from pre-sales discovery through deployment and adoption.

You’ll guide your team through complex challenges, partner with Sales, Deployment, Product, Engineering and Research, maintain clear ownership with delivery teams, and operate on a hybrid schedule with relocation assistance for new hires.

Competenze

• 8+ years in technical customer-facing roles, building and managing C-level technical and business relationships.
• 3+ years leading technical pre-sales teams, with hiring and mentoring experience.
• Experience leading sales involving Generative AI or ML solutions, with understanding of network and cloud architectures.

Mansioni

• Develop and communicate a clear strategic vision for the Applied AI Architect team, ensuring alignment with company goals and customer needs.
• Guide and support a multifaceted team through the customer lifecycle from pre-sales discovery to deployment and adoption.
• Act as escalation point for key customers within the sales segment, addressing complex technical challenges.
• Advocate for innovative AI applications across sectors, positioning OpenAI as an industry leader.
• Ensure accountability for technical progress and customer outcomes, coordinating delivery teams for execution.
