Edgewater Federal Solutions seeks a Cyber AI Operations Engineer to deliver AI-enabled cybersecurity capabilities as part of a fusion team of cybersecurity practitioners and AI engineers. The role focuses on designing and deploying AI-powered solutions for intrusion detection, incident response, vulnerability analysis, and threat intelligence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in AI, data science, or software engineering with AI for cybersecurity.
• 5+ years in security, information security, or cybersecurity defending technical systems.
• Proficiency with AI infrastructure components, automation tools, and scripting (Python, Bash).
• Familiarity with AI frameworks and open-source LLM models (Llama, Mistral).
• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field or related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver AI-enabled cybersecurity capabilities as part of an integrated team.
• Design, implement, deploy, maintain, and evolve AI-enabled cybersecurity solutions for IDS/IPS, IR, vulnerability analysis, etc.
• Instrument AI systems for cybersecurity activities with observability and controllability.
• Monitor the performance of AI systems designed for cybersecurity purposes and ensure effectiveness.
• Analyze, fine-tune and optimize the performance of AI systems for mission needs.
• Develop analytic products and reports demonstrating AI-enabled cybersecurity effectiveness.
