Job summary

BILL is building a new CXO team to automate agentic AI systems that improve efficiency and visibility across customer experience. You will shape architecture, workflows, and the culture from the ground up, collaborating with CARE leaders, QA, Advocacy, and WFM to determine what to automate and validate results.

The role requires 5+ years building production systems with Python and SQL, plus 2+ years in production LLMs and orchestration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and deploying production systems; Python required; SQL strongly preferred.
• 2+ years working with LLMs in production: prompt configuration, tool use, function calling, RAG pipelines, agentic frameworks (MCP, custom orchestration, etc.)
• Experience building LLM orchestration and integration layers that connect AI agents to business systems; multi-step workflows, tool coordination, memory management, error recovery.
• You understand context engineering: accuracy depends on what information reaches the model; you've structured context, routing logic, and retrieval pipelines for these systems at scale.
• You know how to measure operational reliability of AI systems: are they delivering the business outcomes they're supposed to?

Responsibilities

• Automate and optimize CX workflows using AI agents; deploy automations across Slack and Salesforce at scale.
• Flag stalled handoffs, aged cases, SLA breach risks, and duplicate cases; review transcripts to ensure bots perform as expected.
• Provide self-serve data access and deliver automated BI on cadence (site health, volume, SLA, CES).
• Build memory architecture so bots track staffing, feedback, transcripts, and agent work across time.
• Connect and deploy orchestration layers to automate CX workflows and productize internal tools.
• Partner with data team on structured data layers and productize successful approaches for scale.
