Job summary

Southwest Airlines Co. seeks a Summer 2027 Customer Experience and Analytics Data Science Intern for the CX&A Data Science team.

You will apply statistics, math, and CS concepts to collect, analyze, and interpret data, contributing to AI, ML, and optimization initiatives that drive actionable insights. You will work at our Dallas, TX headquarters (May 18 – August 8, 2027), 40 hours per week, earning $22–26 per hour with potential stipends based on eligibility.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled as a full-time student during the internship.
• Pursuing a 4-year undergraduate degree or equivalent in relevant fields.
• Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA at time of application.

Responsibilities

• Work on data science and analytics projects aligning with business goals.
• Apply math, statistics, and modeling methods for descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics.
• Extract, transform, and analyze large datasets to identify trends and insights.
• Support ongoing effectiveness and maintenance of models and analytical solutions.
• Collaborate with the Customer Organization and data science community.
