Job summary

Southwest Airlines Co. is offering a Summer 2027 Finance Internship at its Dallas, TX campus. The 12-week program runs May 18 – August 8, 2027, with 40 hours per week and a pay rate of $21–$26 per hour. Stipends may be offered based on eligibility.

You will work on FP&A and Internal Audit support, with equipment provided and travel privileges for eligible interns. U.S. citizenship or work authorization is required, no sponsorship available.

Qualifications

• Progress toward a degree or minor in a relevant field is required
• Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student during the internship
• Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA at the time of application
• At least one semester remaining at internship end preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with and lead projects to improve department processes and procedures
• Data entry and analysis
• Research, evaluate and recommend new tools and equipment
• Assist with training program development and delivery
• Assist, support, and deliver presentations for meetings, training, and workshops
• Develop and maintain data analysis and querying applications using self-help tools
• Identify discrepancies, investigate causes, and communicate resolutions
• Provide technical data, statistics, and analysis to internal and external customers
• Analyze financial, operational, and business process data to identify risks and trends
• Conduct research, data analysis, and benchmarking to support audits
