Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System seeks a WOC RN to provide treatment and management for ostomy and wound patients. The role includes ostomy care, wound healing, continence care, and staff education. This is a full-time, day-shift position.

Ideal candidates hold a BSN, TX RN license, CWOCN and CWOCN-AP certifications, and BLS, with 5+ years of direct patient care experience in ostomy and wound care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
• Completion of an accredited WOCET Nurse Program (WOCN ET).
• Current Registered Nurse license in Texas.
• CWOCN and CWOCN-AP certifications.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as WOC clinical resource for patient care practices.
• Provide direct patient care for ostomy and wound patients.
• Develop and maintain wound ostomy care standards; educate staff.
• Educate patients and families on ostomy and wound care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to plan patient care.
• Lead pouch system design and resolve system issues.
• Monitor outcomes and participate in quality improvement.
• Create and deliver education programs for staff and patients.
