Job summary

Memorial Hermann is seeking a Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse (CWOCN) to manage ostomy care, wound and continence issues across patient populations in a full-time, day-shift role. You will serve as clinical resource, develop standards, educate staff, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.

TX RN with CWOCN credentials preferred; experience with ostomy surgeries and skin/wound management required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.
• CWOCN certification or CWOCN-AP certification is required or preferred.
• BLS certification is typically required for nursing roles.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a resource for WOC patient care practices.
• Provide direct patient care for ostomy and wound patients.
• Implement actions to prevent pressure ulcers and vascular ulcers.
• Educate patients and families on wound care and ostomy management.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan patient care.
• Develop and review pouching systems and wound care protocols.
• Ensure safe, compassionate, and personalized patient experiences.
