Job summary

GeoTek, Inc. is seeking a CWI Welding Inspector to join our Meridian, Idaho office.

The role involves performing field testing, observations, and data reporting on structural welding projects, following drawings and specifications, and coordinating with the Supervisor and Project Manager. Required certifications include AWS / CWI and ICC Structural Steel and Welding, with additional ICC certs considered a plus.

Qualifications

• ICC Structural Steel and Welding certification is required.
• AWS / CWI Certification is a plus.
• ICC certifications in Structural Steel, Bolting, Masonry, and Reinforced Concrete are valued.
• Valid Driver's License is required.
• Ability to perform tasks in adverse weather and site conditions.
• May require working in confined spaces and at heights.

Responsibilities

• Prepares daily and data reports of testing and inspections.
• Communicates with Supervisor and Dispatch to obtain daily work assignments.
• Performs tests/inspections per drawings, specifications and instructions.
• Submits project documents and timesheets for approval.
• Notifies Supervisor of changes in scope or potential budget overruns.
• Maintains positive relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
