Job summary

Intertek is seeking a CWI Structural Steel, Welding, Bolting Inspector in Waukesha, WI to support our PSI team. The role involves performing testing, observations, and reporting under engineers, using drawings, ASTM standards, and project instructions.

The position requires 2–5+ years of welding/inspection experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license. Travel and site work may be involved; strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Welding/inspection experience in structural steel (2–5+ years).
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must pass pre-employment background and motor vehicle check.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform site work.

Responsibilities

• Work from construction drawings, specifications, diagrams, ASTM standards, schematics and verbal/written instructions.
• Neatly and accurately complete all required paperwork, including daily reports, test reports and timesheets.
• Record and report test results after performing calculations and creating graphs/representations.
• Communicate with engineers, staff, agency reps, contractors and owners.
• Perform maintenance/cleaning of equipment and calibrations as needed.
• Adhere to construction site safety guidelines and promote a safe working environment.
• Inspect construction operations.
