Job summary

Intertek seeks a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) / NDT Level II Inspector in Oklahoma City, OK. The role focuses on testing and inspection of structural steel during erection on building and pipeline sites, with some plant inspections.

The candidate will perform visual inspections, document QA data, and communicate findings to support quality assurance across Intertek's services. A strong writing and communication skillset is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• AWS CWI certification required.
• D1.1 Structural Steel and Level II Ultrasonics experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret tolerances.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct inspections of structural steel during erection and in-transit on builds and pipelines.
• Perform visual inspections for cracks, porosity, undercut, and other discontinuities.
• Document QA data per company policies and procedures.
• Communicate issues and propose process improvements.
• Measure dimensions with rulers, calipers, gauges, and micrometers to verify conformance.
