You will oversee intercompany transactions, support monthly close activities, and collaborate with Accounting, Tax, Treasury, and IT to centralize processes and integrate acquired entities.

Qualifications

Our partner is looking for a (CW) Accounting Manager - Intercompany & Transfer Pricing based in the United States. The Accounting Manager will support critical financial operations, with a focus on intercompany accounting, transfer pricing execution, SAP process stabilization, and business integration. This hands‑on contract role offers the opportunity to manage recurring accounting activities while improving accuracy, strengthening controls, and streamlining processes across a global finance environment. You will oversee intercompany transactions and reconciliations, support monthly and quarterly financial close activities, and help resolve complex accounting and system issues. Working closely with Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Accounts Payable, Order-to-Cash, and technology teams, you will contribute to process centralization and the integration of acquired entities. This role is well suited to an experienced accounting professional who combines technical expertise, operational ownership, and practical problem‑solving skills to deliver reliable financial results.

Accountabilities

• Manage Intercompany Accounting: Execute end-to-end intercompany activities, including billing, journal entries, accounts receivable and accounts payable matching, reconciliations, settlements, and balance clearing.
• Support Financial Close: Contribute to monthly and quarterly close processes by investigating discrepancies, identifying root causes, resolving outstanding balances, and coordinating timely corrections.
• Execute Transfer Pricing Activities: Process cost allocations, intercompany service charges, royalties, and periodic true-ups, validating results against accounting records and approved methodologies.
• Support SAP PaPM Operations: Execute and validate SAP Profitability and Performance Management (PaPM) processes, reconcile outputs, prepare reports, and resolve calculation, posting, or system issues with technical teams.
• Maintain Operational Continuity: Manage interim manual workarounds while system stabilization and automation initiatives progress, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and appropriate controls.
• Contribute to Process Centralization: Support the transition of intercompany activities into a centralized operating model, including billing, reconciliations, settlements, and operational handoffs.
• Improve Processes and Controls: Simplify workflows, reduce repetitive manual activities, strengthen financial controls, and maintain accurate standard operating procedures and supporting documentation.
• Support Business Integration: Assist with integrating acquired entities into intercompany accounting and transfer pricing processes, including transaction-flow validation, master data requirements, accounting setup, and reconciliations.
• Test Systems and Solutions: Participate in SAP process testing, validate interim solutions, document issues, and coordinate resolution with Finance, Tax, Accounting, and technology support teams.
• Support Consolidation and Reporting: Assist with intercompany eliminations, resolve consolidation and reporting discrepancies, and provide accurate information required for global financial close activities.
• Coordinate Cross-Functional Activities: Work closely with Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Accounts Payable, Order-to-Cash, regional Finance, and IT teams to resolve operational issues and maintain effective processes.
• Deliver Reliable Operational Outcomes: Take ownership of assigned deliverables, prioritize material risks, recommend practical solutions, and transition new or integrated activities into stable recurring operations.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification is preferred but not required.
• Professional Experience: Five to eight years of relevant accounting or finance experience, including intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
• Intercompany Accounting Expertise: Strong understanding of intercompany transactions, billing, journal entries, balance matching, settlements, reconciliations, and financial close procedures.
• Transfer Pricing Knowledge: Experience with transfer pricing accounting and operational execution is preferred, particularly involving cost allocations, intercompany charges, royalties, and periodic adjustments.
• SAP Experience: Strong preference for SAP S/4HANA experience. Familiarity with SAP PaPM is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Process Improvement: Experience contributing to process optimization, system implementations, operational stabilization, or business integration projects.
• Technical and Analytical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel, strong reconciliation capabilities, analytical thinking, and the ability to investigate and resolve complex accounting discrepancies.
• Operational Ownership: Ability to independently manage assigned responsibilities, deliver accurate results, and become productive quickly with limited training.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience coordinating with Finance, Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Accounts Payable, Order-to-Cash, IT, and other operational stakeholders.
• Risk-Based Judgment: Ability to balance accounting accuracy, internal controls, efficiency, and business priorities when making operational decisions.
• Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Confidence working through evolving processes, temporary manual solutions, system issues, and competing priorities while maintaining reliable financial operations.
