Job summary

The Johns Hopkins Hospital is seeking a Pharmacist for the Cardiovascular Surgical Intensive Care Unit (CVSICU). You will participate in daily rounds, review CVSICU medication orders, and provide cross-coverage for other critical care services.

Responsibilities include active code participation, patient education, and precepting learners. The role offers opportunities for teaching, research, and interdisciplinary collaboration within Johns Hopkins Medicine.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited College of Pharmacy with Pharm.D. or B.S. degree; residency preferred.
• Maryland pharmacist licensure required; board certification within 2 years of start date.
• ACLS/PALS certification desired; strong pharmacology and therapeutics knowledge.
• Experience with inpatient acute care, CVSICU preferred; precepting and education emphasized.

Responsibilities

• Participate on CVSICU rounds with multidisciplinary team to manage care.
• Review and verify CVSICU medication orders for ~5 hours daily.
• Provide cross-coverage for other clinical services; support critical care patients.
• Engage in code responses and emergent clinical activities.
• Precept, teach, mentor learners; contribute to research and committees.
