Job summary

Johns Hopkins Hospital is seeking a Pharmacist to join the Department of Pharmacy with a focus in the Cardiovascular Surgical Intensive Care Unit (CVSICU). The role includes active participation in rounds, reviewing CVSICU medication orders for accuracy, and providing cross-coverage for other critical care services. The pharmacist will contribute to teaching, precepting learners, and pursuing research initiatives.

Requires a Pharm.D. or B.S.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited College of Pharmacy resulting in Pharm. D. or BS degree. Residency desired.
• 3 years related experience required; 1 year residency preferred.
• Current Maryland pharmacist licensure required; board certification within 2 years of start date.

Responsibilities

• Primary clinical practice focus in CVSICU; participate in daily rounds.
• Review and verify CVSICU medication orders ~5 hours per day.
• Provide cross-coverage for other clinical services with emphasis on critical care.
• Engage in code/emergent clinical responses; participate in teaching and precepting.
• Contribute to research initiatives and serve on departmental and interdisciplinary committees.
