Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a CVOR assignment in San Antonio, TX. This 13-week contract requires cardiovascular OR experience and a strong focus on patient safety.

The CST will assist in procedures, maintain sterile technique, and coordinate with surgeons and nursing staff. Must have CST and BLS, with Heart surgery experience preferred and Meditech knowledge a bonus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of hospital experience specializing in cardiovascular surgery.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with heart procedures preferred; Meditech is a plus.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) specializing in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR). The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional patient care and must be able to adapt to the needs of a dynamic surgical environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with surgical procedures in the CVOR setting.
• Ensure a sterile environment and adherence to safety protocols.
• Prepare and organize surgical instruments and supplies.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other medical professionals to provide the highest quality of care.
• Support patient care operations during pre-operative and post-operative procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of hospital experience specializing in cardiovascular surgery.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with heart procedures, including heart transplants, intra-aortic balloon pumps, and peripheral vascular procedures preferred.
• Experience with Meditech documentation system is a plus.
