Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High School Education or Equivalent.
• National Certification through NBSTSA is required.
• CPR certification for direct patient care givers is required.
• Completion of an Operating Room Technician course or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist in counts with the circulating nurse to ensure accuracy.
• Anticipate supplies needed for scheduled and emergent procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and prepare the operative field.
• Assist in positioning the patient and preparing the operative site.
• Handle instruments and supplies during procedures and document usage.
• Ensure proper equipment function and environmental safety in the OR.
