Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for the CVOR in Gainesville, GA. The role functions in a scrub capacity under the direction of a Registered Nurse, caring for patients from infants to geriatric, with emphasis on sterile technique and instrument handling in vascular/cardiovascular procedures.

Eligible candidates will hold a surgical technology certification and have completed a formal surgical technology program.

Qualifications

• Certification in surgical technology.
• Graduate of a formal surgical technology program.
• Certification in Surgical Technology.

Responsibilities

• Functions in a scrub role in the Operating Rooms and assumes other duties as assigned.
• Sets up cases with proper instrumentation and supplies prior to start of case.
• Follows hospital policy for hand asepsis and maintains organized sterile field.
• Performs accurate sponge, needle, and instrument counts with RN circulator.
• Maintains readiness and cleanliness of rooms and equipment.
