Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a dedicated Surgical Technologist for the CVOR team in a full-time role. You will prepare and manage cardiovascular instruments, maintain sterile technique, and support a high‑reliability surgical workflow while communicating effectively with the care team.

Responsibilities include patient safety advocacy, equipment management, and cost-conscious inventory practices. Eligible candidates have a Surgical Technology program completion and CVOR experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Successful completion of Surgical Technology program (technical or military).
• One year experience (CVOR preferred).

Responsibilities

• Support patient care, safety, and advocacy through critical thinking and anticipation of case-specific needs.
• Prepare, maintain, and manage surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment for cardiovascular procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and support efficient surgical workflow.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary team members.
• Demonstrate accountability for performance, professional development, and continuous learning.
• Participate in inventory management and cost containment efforts related to supplies and instrumentation.
