Job summary

Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola is seeking a surgical technologist with CVOR experience for day shift, full-time work. You will prepare the surgical suite, hand instruments to surgeons, and assist with hemostasis to ensure smooth operations.

You will also support patient prep, transport, and positioning, while maintaining exact counts of all supplies to uphold the highest safety standards in the operating room.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days of hire, per policy.
• High School diploma or equivalent required or higher.
• CVOR experience preferred for surgical technologist role.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the surgical suite by organizing sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies for each procedure.
• Assist the surgeon by providing required instruments and aiding with hemostasis to keep procedures on track.
• Care for the patient through preparation, transport, positioning, and draping to ensure safety and dignity.
• Maintain instrument counts and field integrity to monitor accuracy throughout procedures.
