Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an experienced CVOR Surgical Technologist to support cardiovascular procedures in a fast-paced operating room. The role emphasizes sterile technique, teamwork with surgeons and nurses, and readiness for high-acuity cases within a high-volume cardiac service line.

Qualified candidates should have recent CVOR tech experience, completion of an ORT program, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited ORT program or recent equivalent training.
• Two years of scrub tech experience in hospital or military settings.
• Ability to scrub high acuity cases (neuro, CV, trauma) and support cardiovascular procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support system-wide surgical operations and safety plans.
• Maintain sterile environment and meet sterilization criteria.
• Prepare OR and instruments; assist with sterile processing.
• Assist surgeons and staff within ORT scope of practice.
• Respond to emergencies; assist with room turnover and cleaning.
• Provide training or education at least once per year.
