Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an experienced CVOR Surgical Technologist for the Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, UT. The role supports complex cardiovascular procedures, maintains sterile technique, and collaborates with surgeons and nursing teams to ensure safe operations.

Position may be filled as Surgical Tech III or IV depending on experience; offers full-time hours and a competitive hourly pay range with transition/relocation assistance available.

Qualifications

• BLS for healthcare providers certification
• Completion of an accredited Operating Room Technician (ORT) program, or recent graduation from a non-accredited program
• Two years of scrub tech experience in hospital/military surgical services within the last three years or on-the-job rural training
• Competent in high-acuity specialty cases (Robotics, Neuro, CV, Trauma) and suitable facility case mix

Responsibilities

• Support system-wide surgical operations and safety plans
• Maintain sterile environment and meet sterilization criteria
• Prepare operating room and instruments, assist with sterile processing
• Identify and respond to emergencies and assist with room turnover
• Provide training and mentorship with at least one educational offering per year
• Oversee specialty areas, coordinate case flow, and staff training (Specialty Leader)
• Scrub high-acuity cases, mentor caregivers, assist with new hire orientation (Clinical Expert)
