Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks a CVOR Surgical Technologist for Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, UT. You will support complex cardiovascular procedures, maintain sterile technique, prepare ORs and instruments, and assist surgeons within the ORT scope of practice under RN supervision.

Applicants must have recent CVOR experience, BLS, and ORT program completion or equivalent. Full-time, 40 hours weekly with a competitive hourly rate and comprehensive benefits are offered; scheduling may vary by

Qualifications

BLS certification required.
Completion of an accredited ORT program or recent graduation from a non-accredited surgical tech program within the past 6 months.
Two years of scrub tech experience in hospital/military surgical services within the last 3 years.
Competent in Level III or IV cases in high acuity specialty areas and able to take specialty call.
On-the-job rural training acceptable with plan to certify.

Responsibilities

Support system-wide surgical operations and safety plans.
Maintain sterile technique and a sterile environment.
Prepare operating room and instruments; assist with sterile processing and surgeon support.
Identify and respond to emergencies; assist with room turnover and cleaning.
Participate in training and mentoring; provide at least one educational offering per year.
Scrub high-acuity cases and mentor caregivers; assist with new hire orientation.
