Job summary

Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona is seeking an experienced CVOR Operating Room Surgical Technologist for day shift. This role supports cardiothoracic procedures and other high-acuity cases in a fast-paced OR, using advanced equipment and robotics to help ensure safe, precise operations.

You will scrub on a minimum of two surgical specialties, prepare instruments, assist with loading and turnover, and participate in training of students and new staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist and state registration where applicable.
• 1–2 years experience as a Surgical Technologist OR 3–4 years in the role.
• Proficient scrubbing in at least two surgical specialties.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgical procedures; pull instruments and supplies; ensure equipment readiness.
• Anticipate surgeon needs; pass instruments; scrub in at least two specialties.
• Maintain aseptic technique; manage sharps, counts, and case carts.
• Assist with OR turnover and supply stocking; participate in training.
