Job summary

Prisma Health in Greenville Memorial Hospital is seeking a Surgical Technologist with specialty training eligibility for Neuro, CVOR, Ophthalmology, Difficult Airway, or Transplant to support Level I trauma center operations. The role covers instrumentation coordination, sterile field management, and active participation in the surgical team during procedures.

Must be able to take call, including weekends, and comply with industry guidelines.

Qualifications

• Education: Completion of a Surgical Technology program or ST training in the U.S. Armed Forces.
• Experience: No previous experience required.
• Certification: NBSTSA or NCCT qualification accepted with conditions.
• Knowledge: 15 hours of mandatory ST education annually.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the OR by opening sterile supplies and setting up the back table.
• Assist the surgical team during operative procedures and maintain sterile field.
• Help with instrument counts, specimen handling, and drugs under RN direction.
• Follow safety policies and maintain clean, safe work environment.
• Educate and mentor new team members as assigned.
