Job summary

Dignity Health - St. Joseph's Medical Center in Stockton, CA is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the surgical team by providing critical technical assistance during procedures and maintaining a safe perioperative environment.

You will scrub, prepare and operate instruments (microscopes, power tools, autoclaves) while adhering to hospital policies. CST certification and acute care experience (or ORT externship) are required; military techs welcome.

Qualifications

• Six months of acute care surgery department experience or ORT externship.
• CST certification and BLS certification are required.
• Military surgical tech experience is valued.
• Strong understanding of hospital policies and patient-care focus.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency as scrub technician and assist nursing staff during procedures.
• Prepare, inspect, and operate surgical equipment per manufacturer instructions.
• Follow safety protocols and adapt to changing clinical needs daily.
• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision across ages.
