Sutter Health's SMCS-Sutter Med Center - Sacramento is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the sterile field and assist the operating team during procedures. You will set up instruments, drape patients, and pass sterile supplies while anticipating surgeon needs.

Responsibilities include maintaining equipment, ensuring regulatory compliance, and orienting staff as needed. Requires certification, BLS, and experience in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED.
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program or certification evidence.
• Military training as a scrub tech.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
• Surgical Technician Certification (TS-C, CST, NRST) eligible for incentive per union policy.
• 1 year of recent relevant experience.

Responsabilités

• Prepare sterile field and set up sterile instruments for operations.
• Assist surgeons in gowning, gloving, and patient draping during surgery.
• Pass instruments and supplies, hold retractors, and anticipate surgeon needs.
• Distribute supplies, perform equipment maintenance, testing, and setup.
• Ensure privacy, safety and adherence to policies/regulations.
