Job summary

Saint Mary’s Health Network in Reno, NV is seeking a Staff RN to join the Cardiovascular perioperative team. You will provide direct and indirect patient care across the Main OR and Cardiovascular OR, collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists and support staff to ensure safe, efficient surgical care.

The ideal candidate has perioperative and cardiovascular OR experience, NV RN license, and current BLS and ACLS certifications.

Qualifications

Minimum of one year previous Perioperative experience or on the job training at Saint Mary’s required.
One year previous Cardiovascular OR experience required.
Must be able to communicate in English (Speak, Write).
Current and valid Nevada RN License.
BLS (AHA) certification required
ACLS (AHA) certification required.

Responsibilities

Deliver direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative setting for Neonates, Pediatrics, Adults and Older Adults.
Coordinate care of the patient with the surgeon and anesthesiologist; direct OR Technician and other personnel.
Maintain standards of professional nursing and unit policies and procedures; participate in performance improvement activities.
Collaborate with other departments to provide continuous, quality patient care and efficient patient flow.
Participate in unit meetings and in-services to promote ongoing staff development.
