Job summary

The Medical Center of Central Georgia, Inc (MCCG) is seeking a Certified Surgical Tech (Scrub Tech) for CVOR to support the surgical team. This role focuses on preparing instrumentation, sterile fields, and assisting the surgeon, nurse, and anesthesia provider as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Successful completion of Surgical Technology program, either technical or military.
• One year experience (CVOR preferred).
• Certification in Surgical Technology.

Responsibilities

• Under the RN's direction, assists in patient care and manages designated equipment and supplies.
• Accept personal responsibility for performance, communication, and relationships with others.
• Be flexible with assignments, workload, and learning new skills.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate patient care and prepare surgical instrumentation for sterilization.
• Prepare sterile field, instrumentation and equipment for procedures, anticipating the surgeon's needs and assisting the nurse and anesthesia provider.
