Job summary

HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the CVOR to support patient-centered surgical care in a dynamic team. You will participate in planning, educating patients and families, and ensuring safety protocols across the perioperative process.

The role emphasizes critical thinking, nursing leadership, and collaboration with surgeons, technologists, and unit leaders to optimize patient outcomes and workflow efficiency.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Florida is required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Associate Degree in Nursing is required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery and prepare them for procedures.
• Provide patient and family education regarding the procedure and peri-operative process.
• Prepare patients with intravenous therapy, preoperative medications, and site verification.
• Participate in surgical site verification, including briefing, time-out, and debriefing.
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies with clinical judgment.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care following evidence-based practices.
