Job summary

Portsmouth Regional Hospital in New Hampshire is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR). You will evaluate patients before surgery, educate families, and prepare patients with IV therapy and medications while adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required within stated timeframes.
• New Hampshire RN license is required.
• Associates degree in nursing is required.
• Minimum of 1 year OR/CVOR RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education surrounding the procedure and perioperative process.
• Prepare patients, including IV therapy and preoperative medications.
• Assist in surgical site verification and universal protocols.
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care and participate in continuous improvement.
