Job summary

Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• New Hampshire RN license is required for this position.
• Associate Degree of Nursing is required.
• 1 year of OR/CVOR RN experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education surrounding the procedure and peri-operative process.
• Prepare the patient, including IV therapy, preoperative medications, and surgical site verification.
• Participate in surgical site verification, including briefing, time out, debriefing, and universal protocols.
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while applying evidence-based practices.
• Work as part of a dynamic interdisciplinary team with providers, surgeons, techs and more.
• Apply the nursing process, critical thinking, and leadership to deliver safe nursing care.
• Assess patient condition throughout shift and document changes and care provided.
