Portsmouth Regional Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR). You will assess patients before surgery, educate families, and prepare patients with IV therapy and meds.

You will participate in timeouts and universal protocols, handle emergencies, and work with a dynamic, interdisciplinary team to deliver safe, evidence-based care. The role requires NH RN licensure, an ADN/ASN, and at least one year of OR/CVOR experience, with ACLS within 90 days and

Qualifications

• NH RN license required.
• ASN/ADN degree program completion required.
• 1 year of OR/CVOR RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education for perioperative care.
• Prepare patient including IV therapy and preoperative meds.
• Participate in site verification and universal protocols.
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies.
• Deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based nursing care.
• Collaborate with surgeons, techs, and care teams.
• Document changes and educate patients on follow‑up.
