Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a skilled RN with perioperative experience to serve as a RN first assistant across the OR and perioperative services. The role involves assisting during operative and invasive procedures and may include RN circulator duties to ensure patient-family centered care.

Required are an active Georgia RN license, completion of an AORN-RN First Assistant program, and 2 years perioperative RN or RNFA experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nursing program
• Completion of an AORN-RN First Assistant program (didactic and clinical)
• 2 years perioperative RN or RNFA experience
• 3 years minimum RN or Surgical Tech in CVOR if CVOR work is needed
• RN - Georgia licensure (or NLC/eNCL multistate) and CNOR and CRNFA where applicable
• ACLS and PALS certifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective perioperative care in OR and other perioperative areas
• Serve as RN first assistant during operative and invasive procedures
• Occasionally act as RN circulator in the OR
