Job summary

UAB St. Vincent's, part of UAB Medicine, is seeking an experienced OR nurse to deliver professional nursing care in the operative setting for patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures.

Responsibilities include scrub and circulating duties, assisting physicians with hemostasis, suturing, patient positioning, and preparing rooms and equipment. Requires BLS, ALS within specified timeframes, and Alabama RN licensure.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ALS (Advanced Life Support) required within 180 days of hire.
• Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed by Alabama Board of Nursing prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver professional nursing care in the operative setting for surgical or invasive procedures.
• Perform scrub functions: selection and handling of instruments and supplies.
• Perform circulating functions: monitor, record and communicate patient condition, manage overall nursing care.
