UAB Medicine is seeking an experienced RN to join the CVOR team at UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham. The role is full-time days in the operating room, delivering professional nursing care for surgical patients and supporting scrub and circulating duties.

You will assist physicians with hemostasis, suturing, and patient positioning, ensuring safe and efficient procedures. The position requires active Alabama RN licensure, BLS and ACLS within defined timelines, and a nursing diploma with current

Qualifications

• BLS and ACLS certifications required or obtained within stated timelines.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credential in Alabama needed prior to hire.
• Diploma from an accredited nursing program and current licensure at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver professional nursing care in the operative setting for surgical or invasive procedures.
• Perform scrub functions: selection and handling of instruments and supplies.
• Perform circulating functions: monitor, record, and communicate patient condition; manage overall nursing care.
