Job summary

UAB St. Vincent's, part of UAB Medicine, seeks a full-time Day shift OR nurse to provide perioperative care in the CVOR. The role involves scrub and circulating duties, patient positioning, and preparing the OR for procedures in Birmingham, AL.

Qualified candidates will hold a Diploma in Nursing and Alabama RN licensure, with BLS and ACLS within specified timelines. Generous benefits and career stability at a leading health system are offered.

Qualifications

• Licensure/Certification as a Registered Nurse required (Alabama).
• Advanced Life Support required within 6 months of hire.
• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver professional nursing care in the operative setting for patients undergoing surgical or other invasive procedures.
• Perform scrub functions including instrument and supply handling.
• Perform circulating functions including monitoring and documenting patient condition.
• Assist operating physician with surgical tasks including hemostasis and suturing.
• Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use.
