Job summary

AdventHealth in Daytona Beach, FL is seeking a Surgical Tech to support pre-operative procedures and assist the surgical team in the operating room. The role involves specimen handling, instrument counts, patient positioning, and maintaining a sterile OR environment.

Required: technical/vocational training, 2+ years of experience, and BLS; ACLS/PALS may be preferred. Position is PRN with a 24-hour shift, and the facility offers comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Provides patients with supportive care during pre-operative phases.

• Conducts field preparation and maintenance.
• Ensures the operating room is sterile.
• Monitors and tracks instrument counts throughout procedures.
• Maintains surgical instruments in an organized manner.
• Assists the team with safe and efficient operating room turnover times.
