Job summary

AdventHealth in Daytona Beach, FL is seeking an experienced RN to join our healing ministry. You will assess patients, develop and execute individualized care plans, administer medications, and educate families to support recovery and discharge.

The position requires 1+ year medical-surgical and 1+ year surgery experience, nursing licensure, and BLS/CPR certification. We offer a $25,000 sign-on bonus and relocation assistance for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• RN with an active license and CPR/BLS certification.
• Associates or Bachelor degree in Nursing required.

Job Description:

• $25,000 Sign-On Bonus $3,000 Relocation Assistance Available to eligible applicants; two-year employment commitment required.
• Assess patient conditions and needs through comprehensive evaluations to develop individualized care plans.
• Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, ensuring comprehensive and continuous care.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely according to prescribed protocols.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress continuously, adjusting care plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Document patient care activities meticulously to maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care to promote understanding and compliance.
• Advocate for patient safety by identifying potential risks and implementing preventive measures.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
• Maintain sterile environment and adhere to safety protocols to prevent infection and ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Perform therapeutic and diagnostic interventions such as IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collections.
• Provide emotional and physical support to patients and their families during recovery.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care quality, safety, and efficiency.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
