Job summary

Equiliem seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with CVOR specialization to join a high-volume cardiovascular OR team. The candidate will handle complex CVOR cases and support both first and second scrub roles in a fast-paced environment.

Required CST with national certification. Preference given to congenital and pediatric CV experience; bypass and ECMO experience is essential on a busy CVOR unit using Meditech EMR and advanced equipment like O-ARM.

Qualifications

• Active experience with complicated and complex CVOR cases, including both first and second scrub roles.
• Experience with bypass and ECMO is required.
• Congenital CV experience and Pediatric CV experience are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform CVOR procedures such as CABG, carotid endarterectomy, structural heart repairs.
• Serve as both first and second scrub in complex CVOR cases.

Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with specialized expertise in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) procedures. The ideal candidate will be capable of handling complex and demanding cases and will thrive in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

General Information

Unit Information:

• Number of Beds: 23 OR suites
• Number of Staff: Approximately 100
• Type of Staff:
  • Day Shift: 4 team leaders, 1 board runner, 3 PCT, 20ish nurses, 22ish techs
  • Night Shift: 1 board runner, 2 teams (CTS and RN)
• Type of Equipment: O-ARM, advanced microscopes
• EMR: Meditech

Typical Hiring Profile

Skill Set Most Recruited For:

• Must have: Active experience with complicated and complex CVOR cases, including both first and second scrub roles. Experience with bypass and ECMO is required.
• Preferred or nice to have: Congenital CV experience and Pediatric CV experience.

Weekends and On-call

• Must have CVOR Experience. Days/Weekends Rotate.
• The on-call shifts for the CSTs would be 3 on-call shifts per week and 2 on-call weekends per month.
• Will rotate call requirements with regular staff members. Divided equally among the group.
