Job summary

Reston Hospital Center in Reston, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse for the CVICU to coordinate and deliver high-quality patient-centered care in collaboration with the care team. You will follow established nursing models, document care, and advocate for patients, families, and caregivers while upholding the organization’s vision.

This night-shift position requires an Associate Degree and CN licensure, with CVICU experience preferred. ACLS and BCLS must be obtained within 30 days.

Qualifications

• CVICU experience required or preferred.
• ACLS and BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN licensure is required for employment.
• Night shift position available.

Responsibilities

• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s).
• Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about patient medical condition, treatment plan, medications and possible side effects, and follow-up measures.
• Translates complex medical terminology to ensure complete understanding.
• Manages evidence-based practices and continuous process improvement initiatives to meet quality measures.
