Job summary

Overland Park Regional Medical Center in Overland Park, KS seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for its 10-bed CVICU. You'll coordinate high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with providers and a multidisciplinary team, following established nursing models and standards.

You will educate patients and families, document care thoroughly, and participate in ongoing quality initiatives to improve outcomes and the patient experience in a Level II trauma setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with either an ADN or BSN degree.
• Currently licensed as a registered nurse in the practicing state and/or holds an active compact license.
• BLS required on hire; ACLS required within 3 months of hire.
• Minimum 1 year of hospital experience, cardiac or acute care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the CVICU.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize outcomes.
• Document care in the medical record in a timely, thorough manner.
• Support continuous quality improvement and evidence-based practices.
• Contribute to a 10-bed CVICU in a Level II Trauma Center with an engaged leadership team.
