Overland Park Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) for our ICU to lead patient-centered care during shifts and coordinate nursing activities with the management team. You will support admission/discharge, monitor care quality, and collaborate to drive outcomes.

The role requires RN licensure, a diploma, and acute care experience, with training in crisis intervention and ACLS/BLS within set timeframes.

Qualifikationen

• RN license and diploma required.
• Crisis intervention within 90 days of employment start date.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course within 6 months of start date.
• ACLS within 30 days of start date.
• BCLS within 30 days of start date.
• 2 years acute care experience required.

Aufgaben

• Assist with admission and discharge processes for efficient throughput and high-quality care.
• Participate in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care in the unit, with the management team.
• Collaborate with experts and managers to foster teamwork and improved outcomes.
• Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
• Implement nursing strategies to improve engagement and daily rounds.
• Provide recommendations on interviewing, selecting, and training new staff.
• Assist with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Assist with staff scheduling and labor management per productivity guidelines.
• Support inventory control and equipment supplies management.
