Job summary

Overland Park Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our 24-bed Med-Surg unit. You will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with physicians and the care team, following established nursing models and standards of practice.

The role includes patient assessments, administering medications, documenting care, and educating patients and families. Minimum 1 year hospital nursing experience and BLS certification required; RN diploma or BS

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed RN with current BLS certification.
• RN Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• Minimum 1 year of hospital nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition on admission and during shifts, reporting changes.
• Perform procedures, monitor, and document care in medical records.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor responses.
• Respond to patient requests and anticipate care needs.
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment, and follow-up.
