Job Title: CVD Technician – Swing
Responsibilities
- Load and unload CVD furnaces without supervision.
- Tear out and re‑line CVD furnaces without supervision.
- Provide limited furnace maintenance, including replacement of insulation, heating elements, and other components.
- Monitor and adjust CVD furnaces during coating.
- Operate and/or shut down CVD furnaces during emergency situations (e.g., power loss, acts of nature).
- Perform minor preventative maintenance on equipment (e.g., oil changes, filter changes, valve replacements).
- Operate equipment for grinding graphite and/or silicon carbide (e.g., lathe, drill press, surface grinder).
- Examine job orders to determine quantity, specifications, and special instructions.
- Safely operate forklift to transport hazardous chemicals.
- Install and uninstall hazardous chemicals into tanks.
- Troubleshoot quality concerns and identify root causes of process issues.
- Wear required personal protective equipment at all times in mandatory areas.
Shift
Swing: Monday–Thursday, 3:00p.m.–1:00a.m. (10‑hour shifts). Must be able to train on Day Shift.
Education & Experience
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 1‑2 years in a manufacturing environment.
Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Understanding operation method of reactor (start‑up, shut‑down).
- Understanding temperature, pressure, voltage, current, and gas flow.
- Understanding all types of valves.
- Method of writing log sheets.
- Method of processing and removing graphite.
- Method of loading raw material.
- Following working standards.
Compensation
Target hiring range hourly: USD23.92–28.95. Actual compensation is commensurate with experience, skills and education.
