Job summary

CoorsTek is looking for a Production Operator II to operate production machines in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring parts meet quality specifications. You will work within a team to maintain cleanliness and efficiency in the workplace.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, manufacturing experience, and be able to understand both verbal and written instructions. The role offers a competitive wage of $17.00 per hour and a variety of benefits including medical, dental, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six months of manufacturing experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret standard and metric measurements.
• Knowledge of handheld measuring equipment like micrometers and calipers.

Production Operator II (Multiple Shift Available)

Responsible for performing processes relating to the manufacture of technical ceramics and/or metals following work order specifications. Works within a team environment to meet departmental goals and maintains work area cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Operate multiple basic production machines and/or a single complex, technical production equipment to manufacture parts in compliance with work order instructions.
• Make machine adjustments and contact appropriate person when needed.
• Inspect parts to determine if product meets quality/customer specifications and take appropriate action concerning parts that are not to customer/quality standards.
• Transfer parts to next process via computer software.
• Load, unload and stack product; transport product via hand‑truck, forklift, crane, or hoist.
• Clean work area, machines, tools and equipment.
• Train incoming operators on processes and procedures.
• Wear required personal protective equipment at all times in mandatory areas.

Job Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not necessary.
• Experience: A minimum of six (6) months manufacturing experience.
• Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Understand and act on verbal and/or written instructions.
  • Read/interpret standard and metric measurements.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
  • Knowledge of handheld measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, drop gauges, etc.
  • Assess product quality deficiencies to determine disposition and report to appropriate person.
  • Show attention to detail and excellent listening skills.
  • Be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds.
• Target Hiring Range: $17.00 – $17.00 (actual compensation is commensurate with experience, skills and education).
