Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor in Austin, Texas is seeking a CVD Process Engineer to drive high-volume manufacturing excellence, troubleshoot process anomalies, and implement improvements that reduce defects and increase throughput.

You will mentor junior engineers, support technology-node transfers, and ensure rapid containment of quality events while communicating clearly as priorities change.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Chemical, Electrical, Materials or related engineering field.
• 3+ years of semiconductor manufacturing experience, preferably high-volume.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot process anomalies with Equipment Engineers and Process Technicians to improve yield.
• Conduct data-driven experiments to boost throughput and process control.
• Contain critical fab events quickly and generate 8D reports for root cause and preventive actions.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers and technicians.
• Support technology node transfers and factory ramps with new processes or equipment.
• Communicate priorities clearly as conditions change in a fast-paced fab.
