  • Troubleshoot issues and escalate to senior staff when needed.
  • Follow a provided schedule to cut items in a timely manner.
  • Report fabric-type or quantity errors.
  • Identify common fabric issues such as slubs, waves, or banding.
  • Assist in other areas as required by the business.

Summary

Primarily responsible for completing non-standard or custom cutting jobs within established guidelines

Essential Duties/Responsibilities
  • Cut fabrics using various large format cutting machines to measurements

  • Responsible for using provided calculators or patterns to create a cut size

  • Responsible for minor regular maintenance of the machines

  • Have a good working knowledge of the different types of fabric used in production, make sure that the correct calculator is used for each type

  • Troubleshoot issues and/or job questions as necessary and elevate to more experienced printer, Group Lead or Supervisor if appropriate.

  • Use a provided schedule to ensure items are cut in a timely manner, prioritize items that are shipping first

  • Understand the different finished products being created and report any errors in fabric type or quantity

  • Understand the different types of common issues with fabric: slubs, waves, waking, banding, slow fire, etc. Report these errors to a supervisor or lead.

  • May be asked to assist in other areas as required by the business.

Education/Certification
  • High school diploma or GED required
