Job summary

KCARC in Vincennes, IN is hiring a Production Worker-1 responsible for bundling, cutting, spreading, wrapping and staging pallets, and loading Gen III shipments. The role requires forklift certification, adherence to OSHA safety rules, and timely maintenance of cutting equipment.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in bundling, cutting, spreading, wrapping and staging pallets
• Load Gen III shipments; shipping and receiving bowling orders
• Receive and unload fabric shipments and other shipments as needed
• Follow OSHA safety regulations at all times and maintain a safe work environment
• Follow attendance policy and supervisor instructions
• Perform preventive maintenance on cutting department equipment and lift up to 50–100 lbs with assistance as required

Primary duties will be conducive to what job title they are performing.

• Production Worker-1 must be proficient in Bundling, Cutting, Spreading, Wrapping and Staging Pallets, Loading Gen III Shipments, Shipping and Receiving Bowling orders, Receiving and Unloading Fabric Shipments, unloading other shipments as needed.
• Follow all Agency and OSHA safety regulations at all times.
• Maintain a safe work environment.
• Follow Agency attendance policy.
• Follow supervisor’s instructions.
• Must be trained and certified on forklift.
• Responsible for following a schedule of and performing preventive maintenance on all Cutting department equipment (example: changing cutting blades, resetting parameters in the cutter software, cleaning all working parts of equipment).
• All other duties deemed necessary.
• Maybe required to frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds and if required lift up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Additional hours if needed are mandatory.
