Job summary

Quest Events, LLC in North Bergen, NJ seeks a skilled Cutter to join our fabrication team. You will measure, mark, and cut fabrics for custom, large-scale drapery and fabrication projects, ensuring precision and quality.

Collaboration with sewing and production teams is essential to maintain workflow and on-time delivery. Ideal candidates have professional sewing or fabric cutting experience, read technical drawings, and operate industrial sewing equipment.

Qualifications

• Previous professional sewing or fabric cutting experience required.
• Experience with large-scale drapery, theatrical drapery, upholstery, or custom fabrication preferred.
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure and perform precise measurements.
• Experience reading and interpreting floor plans, sketches, and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of pattern making and pattern modification.
• Experience operating industrial sewing equipment, including straight stitch, overlock (serger), blind hemmer, and grommet press machines, is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet production deadlines.
• Spanish language skills are a plus.
