Job summary

Huntsville Hospital Health System is seeking a dedicated lab support technician who will receive and process requisitions, perform specified lab tests according to SOPs, and respond to phone requests.

Responsibilities include bone marrow collection/processing from various sites within the hospital, maintaining confidentiality and accuracy, and communicating effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Education requirement is a high school diploma or GED.
• Previous laboratory work experience strongly preferred.
• Must maintain absolute confidentiality in handling patient information.
• Excellent communication skills required.

Additional Skills/Abilities:Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly. Must be able to maintain absolute confidentiality in the handling of patient information. Absolute integrity and accuracy in the identification and reporting of number and names.
